ABOUT ME
HELLO
Chicago based, born and raised. I am proud to be from this beautiful city.

Two and a half years ago I decided to make a career change out of healthcare administration. My decision stemmed from a combination of factors, including challenges posed by the pandemic. During this time, I realized the value of pursuing my passion for technology and the how essential it would be one day in healthcare. I realized that my previous experience equipped me with transferrable skills, giving me a positive outlook on how my past experience has shaped my readiness for a career as a developer.

I went on to complete a Full Stack Software Engineer Immersive certificate program where I gained proficiency in various programming languages and technologies. I learned how to navigate real work place demands and problem solving through academic and personal projects — all essential in a dynamic engineering environment. A future of opportunity to learn from experienced professionals, and to grow while contributing to innovative projects excites me.
Working in healthcare taught me to problem solve in a fast paced environment, while completing an individual workload and meeting deadlines. I also learned to manage people and complex operations, collaborate with a diverse team, effectively communicate, and work with others to achieve common goals to prioritize patient care. Not that different from meeting client demands and understanding the value of user-centered solutions — crucial elements in any software developer role.
I am drawn to this new career field because of the constant change and improvement. I love to problem solve and welcome new challenges. I am excited to launch my career as a full-stack software engineer and I am eager to apply my skills and knowledge in a hands-on environment. I am all about proving myself and I am committed to bringing my passion for learning and creativity to any team.
